Wow they are looking good this week. Alot better than last week playing minn. Like i said all this week the bears just had a bad game against the vikings what they are doing tonight is the normal bears. Don’t try to tell me either the vikings are better than the seahawks to that is why the bears are playing so well tonight because that would be totally FALSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t worry. Mannings work release program will be revoked by the time the playoffs start. Hey, maybe they can trade him to the Bengals.

    great analysis

i think the nfl – and the entire nation for that matter – saw sunday night who the best team in the nfc is this year.

doubt if the packers and vikings are looking forward to their trips to chicago this year.

and as for manning, every professional sports team has its felon(s) nowadays. at least the bears’ criminal had two picks. and the bears just stomped the seahawks and not an opposing player’s head.

Both the Vikes and Seahawks with Alexander are better teams than the Bears! They both just had bad games against the Bears!

Dare I say perfect season? If Grossman stays healthy there only obstacle may be New England the last game.

Pretty early for this… week 4 already ??? I know the Vikings are as bad as their coaching… nuff said. I don’t get to bandwagon happy, until after week 10. Injuries will plague all teams, see Seattle, and I won’t bang my chest just yet… definitely, a Bears team from years past, aka 1985 ?

this is funny everyone who says the bears suck are from minn and wisconsin. If they suck so bad how come they STOMPED the crap out of the pukers and also beat the Vikings when chicago was playing bad in minn. Hands down the bears are the best team in the NFC. Even madden said it wouldn’t have mattered wether shawn alexander was in there or not. Heck they could have scored 4 td’s and still lost. Just admit it the bears are good and your vikings and packers suck.

Wow we are so overwhelmed by the big bad bears and there 4-0 record, what did it take you guys like 15 years to put a team together that can actually win a few games, after all the years old Favre stomped the crap out you guys, year in and year out (I believe his record against da bears is around 20-5), over and over again its about time da big bad monsters of the midway put a half way decent team together, drafting in the top 5 all those years finally paid off, enjoy beating up on us now because I’m sure the McCaskeys will figure out a way to screw it up…

if his record is 20 and 5 against them 3 of the 5 losses happened in the last three meetings. They were talking about grossman having alot of the same qualities as favre. Don’t get me wrong favre is a great quarterback but his time is over and he needs to retire. I have alot of respect for the man. For sure will be in the hall of fame and he should be. I am just saying it is the bears time i do believe.

Don’t take IlliniWalli’s schtick too seriously–I’ve seen it on another board. He will declare the Bears the greatest team ever and a lock for the Lombardi Trophy–until they make their usual quick playoff exit. Then he’ll claim he was “only kidding”, should not have been taken seriously, and everyone should have been able to see that.

dont think youve seen my ‘schtick’ before vike.

dont confuse schitck with being a fan with a little common sense.

i just see the bears are off to a great start, beat the vikings and stomped the packers, lions and seahawks. thats all i am saying. no super bowl predictions coming from here – yet.

You may wish to check that “other site”…if it isn’t you there was another Illinois Walleye guy on there using the “I was just kidding” schtick after the Bears laid their egg against the Panthers last January. Coincidences happen, I guess…

again, not my style vike. and there’s more than a few guys from illinois who walleye fish.
btw, when the bears play like crap and lose i can accept that and admit it just like i reserve the right to celebrate a little when they play well.

Last year in NFL week 11, the Bears beat the Panthers 13-3, at which point a lot of Bear fans said we should just skip the playoffs and hand the Lombardi Trophy to the Bears. The re-match with Carolina a couple months later didn’t go so well for Chicago. Just a little food for thought…

Say what you want about Packer fans–at least in the 1990s when they were at their most arrogant they had a Super Bowl win and an appearance to back their smack up. I don’t think much of Packer fans falling back on the Lombardi teams in a debate, because a lot of Cheddarheads weren’t even born for Super Bowls I and II, but the mid-1990s Packer teams are still relevant to a discussion, as much as it sticks in my craw to say that. This is my way of saying the modern Bears need to make it to a Super Bowl and win it (the twenty years since the 1986 team is a pretty large gap) before they are proclaimed a shoo-in for 16-0 and the Super Bowl in week 4.

Here’s a Bears fan that agrees with you 100%, Vikefan!! I’m not getting excited until the Bears at least win a playoff game and I’m sick of talking about 1985. Injuries happen and so does overconfidence. Winning the first four games won’t mean much if we lose the next four so lets keep things in perspective here.

    Have a good one, guys.

Yes, I said “wait and see” for most of the 1998 regular season when a lot of the purple faithful were booking tickets for Miami in November. That was the year when the Vikings went 15-1 (just like the Bears Super Bowl team). By the time the Vikings got to about 13-1 they were blowing out their opponents by thirty or forty points, and I decided it was safe to think about the Vikings playing in a Super Bowl again. Then came the NFC Championship game against the Falcons, Randall Cunningham’s throat closing up, Gary Anderson’s field goal attempt, Denny Green’s cajones shrivelling up and falling off…

Trust me on this one, Bear fans: don’t count your Super Bowl trip until Whitney Houston (or whoever) is singing the national anthem.
