Got these from mom this morning. Pics were taken in Pierre SD. Happens every couple years. Must be a reason there is a “Truck Route” through Pierre.

There is a reason that bridges are posted with the height. Cripes, if you look at the picture you can even see it has a sign that says 11’3″.

There is a similar bridge on 94 by Fergus Falls, when I was coming home from my Devils Lake tournament there was the entire roof of one of those Manufactured houses laying on the interstate. The bridge shaved the entire roof clean off

When I was working const. up on the range…we had a new trucker, boss told him to load the loader on the trailer and take it to Orr for a job, told him eye to eye, “DO NOT TAKE HWY 53” as the bridge was to low and the cab wouldn’t clear. Rather take hwy 73. Well, this guy thought he new it all, 2 hours later he got a call from the Railroad and Sheriff, yep, moved the entire bridge 18 inches and took the cab off the loader. Shut down the hwy for a few hours and the railroad for weeks!
