Thought I’d share a few photos from a recent trip fishing at a sandpit in eastern Iowa. We caught a lot of crappies, some as big as 13 to 14 inches and several nice bass. Live bait seems to be the ticket this time of year and most fish we caught on minnows seined from the local creek. The bigger bass were slamming fire tiger Rapala’s. No magical formula employed to catch fish althought I seemed to have been paying my dues going to Pool 14 on the Mississippi, which has been slow for quite some time. To all you guys and gals that come to this site as I did for a couple of years before I became a member last winter, it’s a great place to shop and everyone is more than willing to help and share info, which makes this site the best out there. Your contributions can only make it better! Thanks IDA

Tut, Would that be the Muscatine sand pits, if it is I used to fish there with my dad as a kid maybe 35-40 years ago. Ron
