Hi anybody, I do recreational activities with Homeless youth at a drop-in center and this last summer I ran a fishin club with them that was very successful. Some of these youth have expressed an interest in ice fishing. I’m just wondering if any one can offer some suggestions for winter lakes to fish and also the ice conditions?
Ice conditions vary a lot from lake to lake. What I would suggest is to start by looking for any lakes you may drive by and see where others are fishing. I would also suggest checking out the Fishing Reports section of this site not only for this year, but for past years as well. If you want a lake, I would say South Center if you’re willing to drive to the Chisago area. The fishing still remains excellent.
