It’s that time of year again to reflect on last year and try to get a visual of the year ahead. I want to ask the community here what your most memorable fishing moment or story was for 2002 and what you have in mind for 2003?

My vote for most memorable moment is the BB/BS event at Everts last July! That was an incredible day…………..ask anyone that was there! My goal for 2003 is simply to get out and fish more. I’ll have my challenges but with the great friends I’ve got here, I should be able to hurdle a few of them (or be thrown over! LOL!!!). Many things hindering my ability to get out and fish this year……………maybe this year too but new circumstances create new opportunities and I’ll be looking forward to figuring them out! Also for 2003, working with ARM! After last July’s BB/BS event, I just can’t wait to get around it again!

Now, that’s my meager input……………..how ’bout you?

I would have to agree with you. The BB/BS Day was great with the FTR/FTL get together the day afterwards. What a weekend! The Walleye Searcher Tournaments are great with a bunch of great friends [everyone] and the cookouts afterwards make it a fun day. Watching my son Nate at the RCL, even though his fish scrambled with big weather changes and with too many people following him in prefishing he was afraid to keep checking on them, was a thrill a father won’t forget. Another bright moment was buying the boat I did. I always wanted a bigger red Lund [alot of years watching In-Fisherman I guess] and even though the tow vehicle I had at that time would hardly tow it I finally got myself one. Next year I hope to not only spend more time on the water walleye fishing but hope to spend alot of time with the 5 grandkids teaching them the love for fishing. When a couple of weeks ago my almost 3 year old grandaughter started crying because she heard her Mom and I mention the word boat and it made her want to go fishing and Grandpa couldn’t take her because it was too cold for her, you know I have to get them out on the water alot more. Everyone has a panfishing side to them too so you know why I’ll be doing a few reports on panfishing next year along with another great year of sharing what I can on the FTR/FTL sites. EFN has really grown this past year and I have made alot of great friends because of it. Not only fellow EFNers but alot of great friends from the board and then getting to meet some of them on the water and/or at the get together. Even made friends at Lake Pepin Campgound from different states who were up here camping and fishing and are on the sites everyday when they are back home. These sites bring alot of people close together from all different areas who all love the same thing-fishing. What more can I say-these sites are great. The more time you spend on them and put into sharing on them, the more you yourself get from them. 2003 will be a great year with all of you, our friends, being here and I wish the best to each and everyone of you. And please do me a favor: catch and releases some for me [can’t get enough fishing in] and then tell us all about it in a post. Thanks, Bill
