I know more must be planning on comming? So if your planning on coming let us hear from you. Right now we need a 6 pack of Weinies and a one can of chili. My bottle of tobasco is very large and we need at least 50 people to even open it. I guess we could start the morning with a Bloody Mary. Looking forward to seeing you again Bob and Tim. What is everyones favorite beverage for on the ice? Steve

Hey Smitty and Mike. Ok now we need a couple of more dogs and I still have plenty of Tobasco. Ha Ha Not much to do yet. Dave made the original post on chili and chili dogs and that sounds like great icefishing food to me. I’m hoping to get a good count of how many ice fishers will be there and then maybe a few of us can make a batch of chili and we can mix them all on the ice. Does anyone have one of those outdoor turkey or fish kettles and burner. I have a full propane tank. I also have a brand new Coleman stove for heating water for hot chocolate or coffee or whatever. Hey Mike how far from the landing do we need to walk to get to the fishing and get-together spot. Who got those great dogs for last years BB/BS event? I’m not sure what brand they were but they were good. Maybe we could get somemore of those? We could either grill them up ahead and just heat them up right in the chili,or we could grill them up on the ice. What do you guys think? I only have the large heavy gas type grill but someone probably has a weber or two that they could bring. I’ll spring on a couple of bags of Charcoal if we decide to cook them on the ice. Steve

You can walk 20 yards and start fishing. There is a pretty good village forming.

Dave, you can count me in. I have a small Weber and a 5LB tank that will work to. It don’t take up much room.
I’d could also brown up some hamburger for the chilly. Just let me now what i will need to bring.

Sounds great Jon. We can mix a couple of different chili batches throw in the dogs and wala chili dogs. Do those cookers have a valve to turn them to low. Sure would hate to burn the chili. Yep that would be the look I would get. Thanks for offering the cooker and supply’s Jon.

Yes, you can control the flame. No problem there. Let it simmer for an hour too! That sounds like a good recipe.

Hey guys, and gals. The fish are still going pretty good out there. Checkh out the latest fishing report for
South Center . If you are new to the area, simply look for the vilages for a starting point and go from there. I can’t wait for the 25th!!!

Say if you are not real occupied…. could you follow me round and clue me in on the other zillion things I must be missing … good job! Thanks for the heads-up on that one.

The event should be fun . Are you going to come?

    Dave Hoggard

ooops… I checked with James and the Events editor is not working in the EFN controll system right now… I can not put the event up there…. dog gone it!

    Well, we tried.

Just for the record I did good in History Class as they taught that “History always repeats itself” so if I catch fish on a lake I always go back and repeat fishing there!!! lol.

Chili making will commence tomorow, Friday. Slow simmer thru the day and evening! Dustin wants a “weinner” count as Swiegert is donating the hot dogs…. I told him several thousand should do… that I would take the left overs home

The more the merrier! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting several of the FTR/FTL visitors and it’s worth the exposure! Many, many great and wonderful people, and just TONS of fun to be around. Everyone plays a part and it seems like everyone’s inner attitude is, “If it isn’t fun, it isn’t done” during these events. For the 2nd straight year, I won’t make the FTL gathering, but I’ll be doing everything I can to be at the FTR events and for certain the BB/BS events! Those are extra special!!!

If you have a conflict for that date, and it’s something that is possible to reschedule, I’d do it! In my case, that’s not an option, but if it is for you…………..ATTEND!!!! You won’t regret it!

Maybe I missed the start time for Saturday?
Do we have a meeting place on the ice that we want to have for everyone to look for? Maybe just follow the nose to the righteous chili!!! YUM!
