    27 and too many.. What about ice rods? 8 of them. Do they count?

    Hard to calculate as I don’t even use the ones I own anymore. Dad’s stay in the boat so I can break his stuff instead of mine! Those trolling rods are easily replacable, right pop?

    About 14 in commission, 3 sitting in the basement collecting dust. The only rods I purchased this year were replacements. The only addition for next season will be a set up for skis.

    I ran out of fingers and toes SO I am done counting. Two hands and one foot are St. Croixs though

    I just got some crap from the wife for buying ‘another’ (catfish) pole. So I tried to turn things around and asked her how many shoes she has, and why so many?

    She said something, I’m not sure what…but she wins!

    Good post Brian…My PI is only about 11 (for a family of 4). Pathetic!

    If this post was about my CI, I might have something…..

    I don’t have that many- but the wife thinks I have too many…. Somewhere around thirty- with the majority being st.croix-

    I have been in a buddies basement where I lost count after three hundred…..

    Hi, My name’s Big D and I have a problem…maybe

    I keep 6 in my camper
    5 ride in the back of my truck at all times
    13 sit on my rod rack in my garage
    And I have 37 ice sticks (some I build myself, some purchased, some purchased when my wife couldn’t pass them up at a garage sale)

    Oh…..ummmmm…..I also inherited my brothers ice sticks when he moved to GA…..bucket with 9

    how many is that, and do I have a problem?

    7 spinning, 6 casting with plan to make another, 4 ice rods with plans to make a couple more, so 17.

    There is no such thing as too many rods. A high PI is a good thing. 18 assorted spinning and casting and trolling but still need to add some cat rods. And then 10 ice rods plus 11 tipups and two old fiberglass canepoles. Lets not even open the gun cabinets for a count.

    7 Summer rods, mostly Lightning Rods, and 5 ice jigging. Now tip-up’s ? I have 6 of them, why would I have 6, when the limit is 2 ??? Different styles collected over the years. Oh, yeah, 1 summer rod is my wifes.

    I have acquired a few over the years too. I have 14 summer poles,8 winter,and 7 tip-ups.

    If I wouldn’t have counted them I could have continued to disagree with my wife about not having too many. Now when she says I have too many (36) what am I suppose to say? Ignorance was my defense because I really never knew what the number was. What’s next? Are we going to start answering when they ask us if they look fat in these pants?

    My PI count is 0. Who needs there own collection when I have such a vast array at my disposal?!
    On a side note, my shoe count is less then his PI. I guess I know what I am doing while someone is out duck hunting next weekend.

    18 summer, 8 ice, 6 tip-ups, 0 snoopy rods, and one 2 piece ugly stick I’ve kept from my youth that was originally a one piece ugly stick. When I was 12 I was showing a buddy how you could bend them in a circle like they did on the TV commercials and it broke in half. It was my dad’s rod and he made me keep it as a reminder of what not to do with your father’s new fishing poles. 28 years later, it still reminds me and I still laugh about it. I can’t count that rod as part of my PI though.
