Ice on lakes

While in Emily this past weekend I noticed almost every lake was frozen over. Where there was open water we saw some good size rafts of bluebills. It won’t be long until we are peering down an ice hole.

Yep…..let’s keep an eye on the ice as it get’s closer to safe ice to get out on!
It would be great if we all helped out here and posted the progress with the ice on our lakes in the area.
The temps in my area up here at Mille Lacs tonite are going down to around 12 deg’s……………..

Here in northern Wisconsin many small lakes have ice on them but I am sure it is not walkable. The channel in front of my house has been solid for 3 days now but still less than an inch thick. I have fresh line on my panfish reels and just went through my tackle and everything is organized for some serious ice fishing. Sad day though, as I winterized my boat this morning. Hope to find some of these soon! See attachment
