Ya, it’s going to be a long year for Favre and company.

    This from Fox Sports:

    “Whither Favre:

It looks like the Green Bay Packers’ Brett Favre is going to be chewed over on TV for weeks. Even before the Packers lost to the New Orleans Saints, Fox’s Johnson said “the best thing” would be for Favre to be traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Fox’s Bradshaw said Favre “should have retired,” but CBS’ Charley Casserly said he “can still play.” ESPN’s Tom Jackson even said that if the Packers lost Sunday, “They might not win any games.” CBS’ Boomer Esiason sensed all this TV yak might get old. “I just wish Favre was in Tampa Bay so we could stop all of this.”

I have to agree with Bradshaw….. Favre

One note; Favre threw for 380 yards, had 3 TD passes and anyone that saw the game watched as his receivers continued to drop passes. Bubba Franks managed to drop 3 all by himself and got a penalty which if it had not occured would have given the Pack the ball on the 3 yard line.

This loss clearly rests with the defense.

2Fishy I think most “true football fans” on here will agree Brett Favre is one of the all time best. When he is on there are very few that are better. But I agree with TBO. With the team they have this year he should have retired so he did not go out like this. Kind of sad! I hope he does not go out with a 3-13 season. And Tuck is right the Vikes had their fair share of chokes so just roll with the blows.

If you could win a super bowl with 7 or fewer points, yes they could have won all 4

    Was it 4?
Yeah, I am not doing a lot of bragging either. Brett will always be my favorite QB even though he plays for the Pack. The guy has played with guts and class his whole career. He may not have been the pretty “Camera Boy” like Young, Marino and Montana, but the guy was never afraid to get bloody. Gotta love him.

Brett played great yesterday, his receivers and the secondary let the team down, 6 pass plays for 25 or more , if the secondary ever gets on the same page the Packers could be a decent team, not great but decent, dont let that first game agaist the Bears fool you, the Bears tore up the Lions yesterday and the Lions looked pretty good in week one, we shall see how the Vikes handle the Bears. I’m sure glad Longwell got all of his misses out of his system last year

Yes, they could have. But forty-four years they are still looking for that first super bowl.

Futhermore, I don’t get you point. Brett played fine but between dropped passes and poor defensive play they gave up 34 points.
