If anyone is interested in catching some nice gills and dont mind fishing from shore i have taken many nice bluegills just below the cedar falls dam,which is just below tainter lake outside menomonie,wi. the action is fast and the gills are in excess of 10 inches.Great fun if you like to take your kids fishing, Its simple,slip bobber,worms and about 3 fow, good luck for those that try.
Thanks for the post, I’m always looking for good shore fishing spots as my five year old boy is normally in tow and anxious for action. little too far out for me but others will appreciate the info. D.
Wow, this post is about 3 days too late. I just spent three days in Menomonie helping my girlfriend move in. I had my emergency tackle with and everything. Yesterday and today we just sat around with nothing to do. Maybe I will have to go visit her again real soon.
