Jake Manka age 6….Do you believe it only 6…caught this 29 1/2 inch Walleye that weighed 10 1/2 LBS today on one of our launches.

They were in 26 FOW using a Berkley Frenzy, yellow and blue in color right outside the Lighthouse Gap on the South Shore.

The big ones are moving in with the shiners

They have been fishing for 3 days with us now and have caught a 23″, 24″ and now this one today.

    Future fishermen in the making.

    NICE FISH!

    Cathy, that is awesome!

What are the water temps right now? I really want to head up there in about 6 weeks to tag into the fall river walleye run.

Guys, if you haven’t fished the Rainy in the fall, you are missing out on fabulous fishing!!!!!!!

The temps right now are around 70 degrees maybe a little cooler. We’re getting into the 40’s here some nights so it’s cooling off quick.

    The ice isn’t far off
Sorry we get a little worked up about Winter up here.

If you have not been here for the Fall river fishing you are missing out on some of the best fishing you will ever have.

So give us a call and we’ll hook you up.

Early goose season starts tomorrow too if you want to get some shooting in.

    Talk to you soon.

29 inches! Many people NEVER land a walleye of that size! Way to go Jake!!

Cat, how long does your $25.00 per night special running?

As I’ve said before, the Favorite Wife and I had the best time we’ve ever had at a resort when we were up there a few weeks ago.

Six hours on the beautiful Lake of the Woods, the nice young lady meeting us on the dock to clean our fish…a short nap and a fresh walleye dinner in your restaurant.

Not to mention the fella that bought my Favorite Wife a drink! What did he call it? Wigwam friendly…something like that anyway. (she still talks about him and his family)

We really hope to get up there in the next couple weeks if at all possible.

Then there’s the ’07 Sturgeon Excursion the weekend after the fishing season closes. I’m thinking we could double the turnout this year as EVERYONE had a blast!

Ps We have a couple IDA members that will be stopping in for dinner during the MTT. Bob Carlson is one of them…just tell them that you don’t know me..and you’ll be good.

The $25.00 runs through November if you mention IDA.

    We love you guys

You really should try to get up here for the river run and the feed back I got on the ’07 Excursion was fantastic. By the sounds of it everyone had a great time which is what we try to accomplish here.
