Briank (better known as Mr. Mouth around home) is having his big FIVE O in a few weeks.

We are having a get together for him at Liberty’s Restaurant in Redwing starting around 4 pm on Saturday, September 23. Since he’s always talking about his box family here on In-Depthangling, we’ve decided to open it up to the In-Depthangling family too.

He’s been talking about jello with suckers and stink bait in it, so I thought we should do this before we take him to the home.

I know our family will be closing up the bar, so come when you can!

We’ll be spending the night at Evert’s Resort and have extra beds if you are in need of a place to stay.

No need for gifts or cards. As my Favorite Hubby would say, Just bring your smile!

We need a rough estimate of the number attending for the staff at Liberty’s. Could you post a note here if you are stopping by?

My name is Briank, and I approved this message.

First off the Liberty is one nice place
Secondly with the likes of Sean, and Tony and BK in the same locale, a body’s gonna need ibuprophen to cure the pains from laughing so hard

Sounds to me like FW and FD, have hit upon one splendiforous celebration

That would be fun to get down there.

But between the DU in Brainerd and the MTT championships it isn’t looking good for me.

Oh well can’t go everywhere and see everybody. Have fun and be safe.

I think this is a first!

We will be bringing Hammerschlagen to Liberty’s and Redwing!

What is it? The rules are pretty simple.

All it requires is a log, some nails, and a hammer. Typically a Machinsts’s Cross Pein hammer is used. You use the pointy end to drive the nails.

Start by starting the nails in the log. Each person then tries to drive in their nail, one swing per person, rotating around the log. You must start with the hammer on the log, lift it and hit the nail in one smooth motion. The first person to drive their nail flush with the log wins. The typical prize is a token for a beer/drink at Liberty’s.

Men use one hand. Women and Gator Hunter are allowed to use two.

Typically use a 1 lb hammer. Most prefer a wood handle (ash is typical), but that’s more likely to get beat up on protruding nails when people miss. There is a piece of tape on the handle and require people to keep their hands behind the tape. The tape is at a position such that is you miss entirely, the handle will hit the edge of the log above the tape, and it’s almost impossible to mash your hand if you hold the handle behind the tape.

Has anyone played this game before?

Does this game involve drinking if you miss the nail, cause that sounds a little more my style
