    Hello,
Just got a new camper and itching to get out camping. I’d like to go in the Wabasha area in Sept. Any recommendations on campgrounds in that area?
    Thanks,

I camp up on lower pool 4 at a county campground just north of Alma, Wisconsin every September. It is a clean campground with showers and electricity and is very reasonably priced. I believe the name is Reichs Lake and it is located about a mile north of Alma right where the Buffalo River meets the Mississippi. I will be up there beginning Sept. 15th with a group of friends.

Merrick State Park which is Pool 5A or Whitewater State Park, between Elba and St Charles if you prefer trout fishing.

Merrick State Park as previoucly mentioned is great – $15 a night with electricty and they usually have sites. Reserveamerica.com
The county park 3 miles north of Alma is Riecks Lake park – $12.00 a night for electric sites I believe – first come first served but usually there is sites available.

I belive there is one in either pepin or stockholm. I know there is one right where lake pepin dumps back into the river. It is called Camp Lacupolis. Its right on the water with dock slips also. It has a store/baitshop, fish cleaning house. If i remember right its 20 or 25 a night with electric and water. They are the only ones I can think of now.
