I’m headed up to Lake Vermilion in early September. This will be my first time on this lake. If anyone has any info they would like to share with me, please do. I’ll take tips for all species of fish. I can give you tips for Pool 4 on the Miss in exchange if need be.

My family has a cabin on the west end of the lake in Niles Bay. Where are you staying at on the lake?

If you can make the fish bite for me on P4 right now I’ll buy your guide trip on Vermillion. It’s so bad right now I’ve almost convinced myself that I LIKE to fish for sheepers, will it ever end………….?

From what I understand the walleyes are biting well in the Wabasha area. They are also biting near the Rush River area on the Wisconsin side heading south to about across from long point. This isn’t coming from my mouth, but from what I have read on another site. You got something against Sheepies?

Only when they eat Willow Cats….. That can be really confusing. An eight pound sheep really feels like a pig walleye sometimes.

i live 20 miles from vermillion. trolling crawler harnesses with orange blades over rocky spots will produce walleye, topwaters and spinners will raise ski’s in front of fortune bay casino . good luck to you!
