A good friend of mine, his kid caught a 9 lb. walleye and they are interrested in getting a replica made. Any suggestions for places, they live in SW Wisconsin.
    Thanks

Warren something in Buffalo City. He is a former Milwaukee Cop and lives west on the main road along the river. He did a great with a few replicas, but missed a bit on my daughter’s 22Lb Northern.

Make sure you personally give him the picture of the fish, if you decide to use him. And if not satisfied let him know and he will make it perfect. Also, more rerasonable then most.

He also teaches a class in taxidermery at Cochrane/Fountain city HS.

I used Ron Lax for a musky and he did an outstanding job. Believe he’s located in Conover, WI.

    Hope this helps

Are replica’s cheaper to do than getting the original fish mounted?

    Glen,

    I’ll secong Artistic Anglers

My brothers bow caught and released a 23″ smallie up on pool 8 and got his replica from them…

    It looked fantastic !!

It’s been 3 or 4 years since I get the replica of the musky but at that time replicas were more expensive than a skin mount. Not twice as much, but definitely more expensive. Worth it though, in my opinion. More life-like than any skin mount I’ve ever seen and will stand the test of time.
