I have been thinking about buying a rock guard or flaps for my suburban and was wondering if anybody could give me a little help with what to get. Was thinking of getting either a tow tector or rock tamer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can always make your own. I bought the rock guard that you see behind motor homes from a motor home dealer. I believe they were 96″ wide and 20″ long. I had to trim the width down for my truck, 05 Dodge 2500. Got a piece of channel iron, a u clamp, some stainless nuts, bolts and a rattle can of black paint. All done for about $100.
I can get some picts if you would like.

My dad and I both have one called “rock solid”. they are more like mudflaps rather than the tasle like ones. we love them, and they were only about 70 bucks.

I had pretty good luck with the “Rock Solid” flaps. My set lasted 5 years. Price is right.
