On board chargers question…

    If you have 2 trolling motor batteries wired in series for 24V, and you have an onboard charger (assume a 2 bank charger), how is the charger wired into the batteries?

    Is there some kind of circuitry that prevents battery 1 from being charged by bank 2… how does that work?

    One battery per bank, a + and a – for each battery. Both will have a fuse.

    If you have a good on-board charger it will tell you if you have it hooked up wrong.
