Does anyone out there know of a good way to paint tungsten weights and have the paint stick? I haven’t had much luck… .

Did you prime them first? A flat black or grey?

Yep. But the material is soooo hard the paint still wants to chip away. Plus, if you heat them too much the plastic sleeve inside melts away.

    Form another source….

“Powder Paint, Bake, use 2-ton epoxy as clear coat. Works well for under 1/2 oz. and OK for 3/4 and up”.

Not sure if his inserts melt or not? I am guessing not?

I doubt the inserts melt from baking. I use the same powder paint on my weedless jigs and the thin plastic weed guards do not melt. I think I bake them at 180 or 200(can’t remember) for 20 minutes if they have plastic on.
