Well after a night of sleep and a day of football, i have had plenty of time to think over what has happened the last few days. Most people are aware of what has happened in the bass forum over the last 2 days. Honestly, I broke down. I couldn’t take it anymore. I swore i was going to leave and stop posting and just stay anonymous. But after 24 hours, I take that back. I’m not going to stop posting about all of the fish I catch, all of the great memories, time spent on the water, doing what i love to do. I don’t care if I seem boring by posting too many details in my reports or if I get “too excited” about fishing. So I’m not going to stop. I’ll continue posting my results on the water. For those of you that love to read my reports, more power to you. I love hearing feedback after each post and try to better myself or learn from something or maybe even help someone else. If you don’t like to read my reports, DON’T READ THEM. Just go away. I don’t really care what anyone says to me at all anymore. I’ll take suggestions but if you don’t have anything nice to say, please refrain from even entering my reports, sending me negative private messages, or emails.
So if you don’t like my weight estimates, or think my opinions are offered to make me look better than you….
    I’ll tell you what:
    You can kiss my butt.

    Sincerely,
    Cade Laufenberg

Cade-Tell us how you really feel
If’n I was you, I would keep posting your reports, techniques, and pics anytime you wish. I read them all even if I don’t reply. Believe it or not, I have been picking up small details in your reports to better myself. Keep up the good work

    Cade;
    You don’t change a thing!

You keep fishing for those bass, because you are doing it very, very well! And to top it off, you are probably becoming a better fisherman today then some of the tourney guys around here. You are consistent with your catches, so keep it going and keep learning!!!

I enjoy your energy to the sport. Today, you have the time to use that energy and you do it right.

    Keep it up!

Welcome back young man! I’m darn glad to see that those trying to bring you down didn’t get their way.

I find your posts a fantastic read and if I’m around when someone tries to take a poke at you… I’ll have your back. If I’m not around… won’t matter… you have LOTS of friends here.

    You’ve got it going
I only wish I could have learned as you are, when I was your age.
You know we got your back , but don’t take a hard right into the unknown spaces below the b@ss forum.

I try to get all of the posts read, but soo many and not enough time. but I agree, don’t let a few ruin your hard work to better yourself as an angler and a teacher. because there are guys out there like myself that have not clue one on how to fish bass in a river, or even use plastics on a lake. I just go out and get frustrated when I don’t get a good bag of fish, and even more upset when I look at guys holding 4 or 5 pound pigs. I am trying to learn from every angler here. there are so many good things that happen on this site, I don’t have time for the little bad things.

Mr Dave Horton hit the nail squarly!

The younger generation are going to make fools of the fisherman of today.

I thought my dad taught me a lot about fishing…and he did, but the people that share, like you Cade have taught me fishing tricks that just blow me a way!

The young adults of today have IDA from the get go. They are and will be more so in the future, LIGHT YEARS ahead of say me when I was their age.

They don’t have near the learing curve as someone as little as 10 years ago.

It’s goning to be amazing and people like Cade will be blowing away the icons of today.

Damn, Cade! I need your autograph before you get too famous and won’t lower yourself to talk to me!

Just remember, you can’t please everyone. I like to read all the reports… the sunfish reports because they remind me of fishing w/ my grandparents (since passed away), the catfish reports because they remind me of when my kids were little and I could only go fishing when they were in bed and because a “cat” is the biggest fish I have ever caught, the white bass reports because they remind me of the times my kids would hook’em as fast as they could, the walleye reports because they remind me of fishing with my favorite uncle in La Cresent (since passed away), and lastly, because it’s all about fishing! Thanks for passing on your fishing experiences. It is appreciated. MIKE

Well I for one, am not really a bass guy, but I always enjoy people’s fishing posts that post with enthusiasm, even though I don’t fish for bass much, reading you posts makes me want to go out and fish for bass.

Keep up the good work, I enjoy your fishing reports.

I for one don’t care for bickering and arguing; but I always got to go look at what the fuss was about. And, of course, the posts are all deleted and you can’t tell what was said.

So I usually make up my own story and blame it all on Briank!

The only thing I will add is that sometimes criticism, when given in good faith, can be very beneficial to an up and coming fisherman.
Remember it is always good to look at a situation from another ones’s point of view. Everyone has their area of expertise and by incorporating others talents into your one you can become a much better fisherman and person.
Bottom line, with more information you will always be better prepared to make the right decision in any situation.
    My two cents.

well said Cade, there is nothing better than a positive, informative report. thank you for your contributions and keep them comming. There is little doubt that the day will come when you will be a force to be recond with on the bass tourney trails.
I agree with Gator that positive constructive critisizm is something we should all listen too.
    glad your still here

    Cade,
I don’t think I have ever responded to one of your posts but I have read a ton of them. I really like that I can feel your love for fishing in every report. At your age everything can feel like a crisis but just take a deep breath and go on with life. I haven’t read what has been going on in the Bass Forum but I guess I will have to go check it out. Hey, wait a minute—this isn’t a ploy to get us old walleye guys to expand out, is it? Like James said, you got alot of friends here who have your back so don’t sweat the small stuff.

Cade, most peopel on this site have been through what you are going through. No matter what you will never please everyone, and there will be individuals that will not appreciate you sharing fishing information. It is hard for some people to understand that by sharing info and reports we all gain. Do not let others deter your efforts. We really apprecaite the pictures and reports, keep up the good work

Nothing is making these people click on your posts if they don’t want to. You post what you want, and if they don’t like to read it, they shouldn’t open it! Seems pretty simple to me. Just keep on posting man!

    Cade,

I get frustrated at times and wonder if it’s worth the effort. When I come to my senses, I realize this is the best site around I would miss being part of it. Hang in there and keep the reports and replies coming. There will be rewards.

Thanks for all the replies guys. They mean a lot. Seriously, they mean a big lot. John, there already have been rewards. Great friends, and too many opportunities to count. I have got to fish with several different people from IDA and all have been good company so far. There are a few more opened doors for me to get out with more IDA’ers. Each trip i learn something and always have fun. I have also got great gear, (LX-3 from Scott, fenwick rod from AlvinMack, tons of jigs from brovarney, a new reel, a lot of things…) and plus i have learned so much about fishing. I go back to old reports from even just as early as a half a year ago and laugh at myself. Its funny to see how “Bad” i used to be, although i was proud of myself at those times, i never knew i would become as good and knowledgeable about fishing as i am today. Honestly, i thank Indepthangling.com for about 95 percent of that gain. Plus i probably wouldn’t be interested in tournaments at this early of an age if it weren’t for Pm’s from slop and all the talk on here. i wouldn’t live without indepthangling. Although i was angry with the situation, and was going to stop posting, I still never had any hard feelings with IDA. i was just tired of some of the problems that were caused by outside “forces” that nobody here but those people can control. I thank everyone for their efforts and i will not be leaving! I am glad that people enjoy my reports, because thats why I continue to post so often on here. On other sites, i’ll post the exact same words and get 2 replies saying good job. Here, ill get 15-20 replies at times with that same “good job” but then so much more. I can relate to you guys and you guys can relate to me. We could meet on the water, or anywhere (hunter’s saftey…lol blue perch )and spend a long time talking about what we all love to do. On other sites, those guys couldn’t pick me out of a crowd. what i like to see when im around town or fishing when people come up to me and say hey cade and i don’t even know them. It makes me feel really happy that I am welcomed here and that people actually pay attention to what post. So thank you very much to everyone!!!!!!!!!!

I do have to register a complaint about your posts.

Stop posting all the time, you make me feel bad that I can’t get out as much as you

All right just kidding, keep posting, and don’t worry about what people say about you. Heck, I would be happy if my Mother in Law would stop heckling me
