It’s HOT! I didn’t even go outside today for more than a few minutes.
FYI, the record MN high temperature was set in 1936 @ 114 degrees! That tied the previous record, which was set in 1927. http://www.netstate.com/states/alma/mn_alma.htm
July 30, 2006 at 10:47 pm #465168Dude, I had to take the boat out today, not really my idea, so dang hot! I was ok on the water, but I would rather not went at all, but the brother and sister wanted to go out for a ride in the new boat, it was crazy on the lake today, only saw 2 fisherman, rest of the boats were either parked with the people swimming ot towing tubers.
July 31, 2006 at 2:09 am #465201I hear ya guys. I feel the same way. Suppose to cool down after Wed. Plan to hit the water on Thursday.
July 31, 2006 at 2:28 am #465204Was up guy and gals. Do you not realize you live in the upper mid west. This weather is great. I hate to say it but are you the same folks that stair out your windows in febuary and say it is to cold out? Here is a big tip for the day. Get out of the boat and get in the water. This weather is great. Cant imagine sitting in a boat all day fishing in it. Sitting in the water in a lawn chair and waiting for the fish to come to you, just cant beat it. This is wonderfull ad I cant waite for more of it. See you in the water again tomorrow. If any one wants to join us we will be launching out of Franconia around noon and I would be happy to provide Taxi service to nearest sand bar at rock island. Its to hot to do anything else.

July 31, 2006 at 11:37 pm #465434How’s this sound guys. Wednesday’s forecast High of 79 and a low of 60. Of course this change in weather will be blowing in a storm but we need the rain too. Sounds like a win/win situation to me.

July 31, 2006 at 11:58 pm #465441This morning I rolled out of bed and it was already in the low 80’s. Then I went to the shop to meet my wonderful boss (NOT) Then we all got to start the day off with pouring 15 yards of concrete…in a basement….with absolutely NO air movement. Before we had the first truck emptied out, I had already drank 68 ounces of Gatorade, water, and of course Dr.Pepper By the next truck, I had sweated all that fluid out easy. I was sweating so much, I actually had standing water in my boots……..YUCK Did I ever tell you I love my job in the dog days of summer? If I did….I LIED
