    FTL friends and Staff,

    I am very pleased to announce the additoin of Brad Laabs to our EFN – FTL Staff.

    A bit about Brad… Brad has been a Detriot Lakes Area Guide for 14 seasons. He has written articles and done features in the Minnesota Sportsman Magazine, Northland Outdoors Magazine, the Fargo (ND) Forum, and Grand Forks (ND) Hearald. He has been a St. Paul Pioneer Press “guide of the week”.

    He has been an educator/speaker for the Detroit Lakes Record and Tribune Professional Lectures/Presentations benifiting the FM Walleye Club, Detroit Lakes

    Community Education Program, works the D.L. Boat and Sport Show, and the “Take a Kid Fishing”community event. His tournaments accomplishments include being a 12 year tournament veteran, having fished Detroit Lakes area. Brad fishes many regional tournaments including the MWC, NAWA, and USFA. He has had multiple wins, numerous top 10, many top 20 finishes.

    Brad’s sponsorships include Pro Staff status with Alumacraft Boats and sponsorship recognition with Yamaha Motors, SpartanTrailers, J & K Marine, D.L Amoco Bait & Tackle, and Vandy’s Jigs & Rigs

    Brad has done 2 fishing shows for 3NN (local cable access), and has been a “Governor’s Opener”

    guide. Brad is also a product/field tester for Pradco Outdoor Brands & K-B Tackle.

    Welcome aboard Brad. We know Brad and we know he will be a big asset to EFN in the Detroit Lakes area. A very resourceful fisherman and great guy to have as a friend. Was nice seeing you again last week on the river and look forward to gaining knowledge of the Detroit Lakes area lakes from your reports. Bill and Nate

    Thanks for the welcome and kind words. I will be chasing some crappies over the weekend and will post a report and an “opener outlook” for the Detroit Lakes area. We are getting to a great time of year now up here!(although it would be hard to tell by the weather the last few days)
