TWINS are the hottest team in baseball Everyone jump on the wagon. Nothing better than catching eyes in October and listening to the Twins in the playoffs—whose with me?

33-8 in the last 41 games! That’s nice! Always good to get a win out of a guy like Silva. Morneau and Cuddeyer both had great games each getting another home run.

SWEET Tied for the wild card now right??? A month ago, it didn’t seem possible for the Twins to catch up even, now they are there!!! But there is still nearly half a season left to catch Detroit!!!

    Great Game!
I was stuck at work watching it on mlb.com and it was still exciting. If only we where chasing the second hottest team in the league.
    Silva still scares me though

The last month has been the best twins watching I have seen in a while, I still had some doubts untill they did this to the SOXs. HAve to keep the radio close.

Yeah, I wasn’t too excited when the Twins started this streak by beating up on weak National League teams like the Cubbies. They have a lot of games left against the Tigers and White Sox, and I am a little skeptical about whether the Twins can keep this up (their division and road records aren’t that great), but three weeks ago I totally wrote them off for post-season play, and now they are in the thick of things. I keep waiting for the Tigers to wake up and remember they’re the Tigers, but it hasn’t happened yet… At the worst, the playoff stretch run should be exciting, and the Twins have a great nucleus of young players in place to build on in the future.

I should note that I have lived in Iowa City for six years now, and when it comes to baseball this is a Cubs town. More correctly, it was a Cubs town until about the beginning of October last year, when all those Cub fans suddenly showed up with crisp new White Sox gear on. A year ago this time, I had met about five White Sox fans in my whole life–now, they are everywhere. Watching the Cubbies stink up MLB is almost as much fun as watching the Bartman game was for me, and sweeping the Chi-Sox, which I did not expect the Twins to do, is just that much better.

Thanks to XM radio I was able to listen to the White Sox radio announcers (Farmer & Singleton) as the Twinks were completing the sweep while fishing on Rainy!!!

Nice job Twinkies. Bring on the kitties, time to get a little closer to first place in the division.
