baits for the back waters

does anyone recommend any type of baits for back waters with pads and current

What kind of fish are you fishing for in the back waters with pads and current?

i’m fishing for large mouth bass

my dad told me about hardnose toads and the are the best thing ever but the catch ratio isn’t the best
aany tips?

Try a Senko or a Scum Frog

Learn how to fish a swim jig! Try a bunch of different one till you find the one that works for you.

For bass, I like working the weed edges with a Rapala Skitterpop. Also, any kind of weedless rigged plastic should be good worked into the slop as well. Exude Poc’ it Dad and Culprit’s Pro Frog have been good options.

Word of warning if you work the topwater baits is it may be a good idea to take a jaw spreader, needle nose, and a hook cutter as you will more than likely hook into a few notherns along the way.

I was using Green Pumpkin/Red Pearl
