1,000 lb Sturgeon

    Received this in an email this morning…

    “This sturgeon weighed out at over 1,000lbs and measured out at 11’1″. It was 56″ around the girth and took over 6 and one half hours for the 4 guys taking turns reeling. It was caught at the mouth of the Rainy River.”

    This picture has been around a while, I’m pretty sure it was caught out west somewhere.

    I never trust images in emails unless they are from someone who caught it themselves. I did some digging on google images….

    I only found this place (dated June 06).. they say it’s rainy…

    But who knows how reliable they are.

    I didn’t find anything on snopes.com on it.
