I’ve been catching alot of northerns with growths in there mouths on a wright county lake anyone know what it is? fish are 20- 32 inches Ive seen with it so far. Anyone that knows anything about it let me know

Probably an infection from eating those “green” fish, large mouth or small mouth, doesnt make any differance. 
Even alley cats aren’t supposed to eat them, gotta throw them back or try to shake em off your hook. 
If at all possable don’t even touch them.
Come on LuckDog. I’d expect that remark from those toothy-loving Northerners but not a fellow Burlingtonian… 
Ohh come on guys, we all know Northerns loose their teeth in the summer I thought this was common knowledge

The last northern I caught had a growth in his mouth as well. This was a river fish. It also appeared to have either been caught before or something else happened since his lower lip was ripped pretty good. This fish was also maybe 12″ long

these tumors arent neer the teeth there located all over the outside bottom of mouth under the tounge near the gills…? the first one I thought it was a prior hooking but I’ve now hooked 20-25 of them. I fish all the area lakes this is the only one I’ve seen this on.
Benji, did the tumors look anything like these?
