In the current edition of Bass & Walleye boats magazine, they have a test of 4 outboards and the Mercury 250XS came in top dog – more fuel efficient then the 3 other 4 strokes they tested against. Surprisingly though the Verado came in last for fuel efficiency. The E-Tech was not in the study and as they say – “It’s a shame we didn’t have Evinrude’s 250 E-Tech in the mix to compare to – they were very conspicuous in their absence” – whatever that means.

    What do you guys think?

Geeez, you guys and your black motors. Bet your Polaris junkies too.

even the used boat section is full of them. Have yet to see a 20_ _ Lund/crestliner/alumacraft for sale with an e-tech on it. Then to make matters worse, the Merc/lund dealer in Duluth wants to tell me he won;t give me anything for my ficht. (Its been flawless for three years, its a 2000 built by BRP, not an OMC bomb) Then wants to brag about how grerat those black motors are. Bad mouthing my equipment will not endear me to buy yours.
