Well the Blue Perch Express is on the shelf for a while . After a little incident with a stump on July 2, I pulled the prop off to discover the shaft has a slight bent to it . I have insurance, but I am wondering if it’s worth getting them involved. I’m sure I am not the first to do this. How much would it cost to get it fixed ? I need the whole enchilada done. New skeg, new prop and new shaft. Hopefully, I didn’t blow any seals from running with the vibration . Thanks for the input, Jesse

Insurance Agent has been called. Hopefully it doesn’t take long to get fixed.

I hit a rock a few weeks back and ripped the skeg off and bent the shaft and ruined the prop. Once the lower unit was taken apart, the gears had been chipped from impact. Insurance agent got the call due to the estimate being close to $2800! Hoping to get the boat back this week.

It’s all good boys. I’m taking it in on Thursday afternoon . The guy said the only thing that might take a while is if he has to order parts. I guess a $500 deductable and being the non boater for a while will teach me to be a bit more careful. Thank god for insurance. Good fishing, Jesse
