I was going about 15mph around Goose Island and the the water went from 18ft. to 1.5 in twenty yards. Needless to say a stump grabbed my lower and sheered off about 3.5in of skeg and now the prop is exposed. We all know what happens to exposed props on the Miss. river. Thanks Amwatson for being a good sport when we got lost. I am the dogfish king. Thanks for the help, Jesse

Try your local outboard dealerships as they might know a welding shop that they work with. If they don’t call a welding and repair shop and they will do it for you. Its an easy fix for around $50 or maybe just under that. Hey welcome to the site.

Perch-It is cool I just pretended we were pioneers searching for new frontiers There is nothing like being in Goose Island in the dark with no clue on how to get back out. Also walking through ankle deep water, barefooted, and stepping on a slimy fish Thanks to the Lowrance 334c we were able to navigate through the maze and get out before daylight That stump really reached out and grabbed the skeg, it even knocked the cowling clean off the boat and into the water I still had fun even though I lost about $20 worth of tackle and only landed 2 fish
