I fished yesterday on the north side. It was windy when we started and then it got worse. We opted to fish a sandy shoal in 24′ thinking it would be too hard to fish the flats in the waves and not stir it all up. We ended up with a limit of eaters and another 8 in the 20-26″ range that we turned back. Small leeches and short nite crawlers (pinched off to 2″) on a long snell with a chart bead worked the best. We didn’t try to get back to the public launch,…just went into the nearest harbor and borrowed a car to get the truck. I would say the whole east side was probably unfishable mid-day. Couldn’t stay for the evening fishing,…don’t know if the wind settled,…so can’t help you out with that. Good luck.

I fished shermans flat yesterday hoping to get out of the wind but got pounded anyway.Started drifting with rigs but couldn’t get any boat control so had to anchor and go to slip bobbers over 1/16 0z jigs and leeches in 20fow. started getting bit right away. Ended up with 3 keepers and several over the slot.
