I fished yesterday on the north side. It was windy when we started and then it got worse. We opted to fish a sandy shoal in 24′ thinking it would be too hard to fish the flats in the waves and not stir it all up. We ended up with a limit of eaters and another 8 in the 20-26″ range that we turned back. Small leeches and short nite crawlers (pinched off to 2″) on a long snell with a chart bead worked the best. We didn’t try to get back to the public launch,…just went into the nearest harbor and borrowed a car to get the truck. I would say the whole east side was probably unfishable mid-day. Couldn’t stay for the evening fishing,…don’t know if the wind settled,…so can’t help you out with that. Good luck.
