I used sat afternoon to test out my new raingear, and spent a couple hours on one of my favorite walleye lakes, “whisper lake”. “Whisper” is a small mine about the size of a football field, just east of Mckinley, mn. there is almost no shore, it just drops to 20 ft and thats pretty much the bottom. anyway, i slow troll the crankbait on the top of the picture for walleyes.. however, Saturday, i left my favorite crank bait at home so i tried the smaller one, (bottom in the pic) and much to my surprise, landed a half a dozen or so eater sized bluegills?!

I didn’t catch any myself but my budy and his son did real good on the big ones just below the dam in the tailwaters along the rip-rap for the big bluegills. They were pregnant and must be hungry. Good job catching em’ on artificial!!!
