I had 4 rods and reels stolen from my storage compartment in my camping trailor mid May. Of course one was my favorite– a g-loomis gl3 with a diawa reel. I suppose some is catching walleyes with it as I post this. I guess I need to wise up a little more with were I store my equipment. JLK

I hate thieves. Sorry for your loss. Maybe karma will have it snap and he’ll get splinters in his eyes, or maybe struck by lightning during a cast.

Get a rope! All I know is if I caugth someone doing this there would be dire consequences to pay…Are you covered by insurance? This is a good reminder for everyone to take pictures of what you have…I will be doing just that tonite when I get home. You do the calculation of what you have spent on rods and reels after taking an inventory and I bet most of us would be quite shocked.

Take care and take those pictures!

Thanks all, I think most of us just get too comfortable in the way we trust others. I have had other items stolen and I get sooooo but really, what can you do? If you lock stuff up they break in and you’ve got to repair. Yes, I have insurance. It will end up taking quite a while to end this I’m sure. I am haveing a hard time trying to remember exactly what rods and reels are missing. It’s just a big hassle to go through. Thanks again. JLK

Great point, I have burned CD’s with this in mind.
One for fishing, one for household electronics, and another for tools. Also include the serial numbers.
