I’ve got a friend looking for a family resort in central MN. She wants a decent beach with activities for the kids. Most of the places I’ve gone to have been more of a fishing resort that offer some stuff for kids but don’t really have that beach waterfront.

She found this BugBee Hive Resort on the net and thinks it looks appealing (to give you an idea of what she wants). Anybody been to this one?

Any referrals to a good family resort would be appreciated. Thanks!

They could try Cozy Corners, its on the Chain of Lakes. Good fishing, and a indoor pool, for the kids, when the bugs are out. I know theres always a bunch of kids there, with the campgrounds. Good food and drinks !!! Phone 320-597-3587. Its in Richmond, MN.

Try the Jolly Fisherman on Big Elbow Lake in central Minnesota. It’s pretty kid friendly and has pretty decent fishing.

    Wade,
Have her look at http://www.brookside-resort.com/. It is a little farther north as it is located a few miles north of Park Rapids. Itasca State Park is about 15 miles from it also. My family has been going for 6 years and we all love it.
In fact we leave for our vacation there in 9 days.
