a nice fish that followed but didnt hit!.. Pleasant lake, 1 pm. I threw out a medium sized deep diving crankbait, across the end of a small point that comes out about 30 yards or so from shore. The water drops from about two feet to 10 or so. As I reeled in my first cast I looked down to see a nice pike follow right to the boat.. tried a bit of a figure 8 (must need some practice as it didnt work) 
.. so i casted right near where i casted that first one and the water exploded! a decent pike just over 30 inches, not huge or anything but theres something that just feels good about catching the one that may have just gotten away!
