Collinwood-Dassel/Cokato

My friend and his uncle fished Collinwood last weekend and filled out w/ some very nice fish-most over 20″. They fish the lake for 2-3 weeks in the june and again in the fall and do very well. For them-it has been an all or nothing type lake though.

It is a good hour west of the cities.

Thanks for the report. My dad his fished Collinwood several times over the last three years with limited success. I am looking to take him out and bring him some success. Were they rigging with minnows or what presentations work well there in the fall? Also any location tips would be appreciated. I will post with my results…

I can get more info later, but I know that they were fishing fireballs and fatheads. I think that they fish off of a beach in 25-35 feet of water directly across the lake from the landing. When I talk to my buddy I will try to get more info.
