EOE???

    This has been bothering me since last Sunday night. While fishing, I tuned to the Hastings radio station because Bear Facts and Fish Tales was on and the other station was talking about the stadium…AGAIN.

    So there was this ad…for employment..heck, I don’t even recall who was hiring…but the very last words the announcer said was….

    “Females and minoritys are encouraged to apply, XXXXXX is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.”

    I know what they mean…but, it sure sounded contraditory.

    After I heard that…I just sat there stareing into the darkness and said…..hmmmmmm.

    The White Earth tribe will advertise their jobs with this at the end.

    Hey TribePride…good point.

    Isn’t the White Earth band considered to have their own nation? If so, that doesn’t strike me as odd…

    I did say Hmmm? But now that I think about it…that might be a new trend…

    Equal Oppurtunity Employer with (you pick the color, gender, religion, sexual preferance ect.) preference.

    I might be going a bit far here….

    I’m glad that the radio I got for you is working fine . But I can’t controll what you hear on it .

    They might be short on their EOE quotas hence the tag line for women and minorities???? Sounds strange though since that had to be emphasized.

    All are equal, but some are more equal than others.

    This quote was a Propoganda statement from the corrupt leaders in a George Orwell novel published 60 years ago.
    Orwell was satirizing Joseph Stalin and the government of the USSR.

    The fact that we now experience the exact same propoganda from our own government is quite disturbing, though not necessarily too surprising.
