Memorial Day Challenge

    I am challenging each of you to take a vet fishing this memorial day. If you can’t find one, contact the VFW or American Legion. I am sure they can put you in contact with one. Relatives count, I plan on taking two Vietnam Vets out this weekend.

    At least offer a moment of silence to those who have paid the price for freedom.

    Hey Hookem, I fished with Lntony2 last weekend. He too is a Gulf War vet. Infantry if I remember..

    My wife and I will be in Willmar area with friends on Memorial Day. My friends father is a World War II veteran and his name is Henry.
    I am a Vietnam Vet with 2 tours flying Army Chinook helicopters.
    Henry and I will get out on Monday.

    Great Challenge Fishahollik!

    I would love to be taking my Dad out on Memorial Day, but as always, I will just be giving him a call to thank him for all that he and his buddies did for our country.

    He is a WWII vet. A paratrooper in the 82nd Airborn division. Made 2 jumps into Normandy.

    He’ll be here in July and we will be fishing together.
