I am heading to Canada in a Month, and am looking for some weedless lures. I just found these. Has anyone ever used them? What is your opinion?

    FishinBuddy,

Where and when are you going?

I have always done very well with a Johnson Silver Minnow with a grub tail attached and cannot wait until I go to Ganglers in early June. I have not seen those lures but Canadian fish usually hit just about anything they see. Good luck on your trip

I have heard that they will bite on pretty much anything as well, but I was just looking around, and wanted to see if these things really worked. More so for around home. We are leaving for Red Lake on June 16th, and Fly out of there on the 18th. The Lake is Called MIMI, with I believe about 5 different lakes you can protage to. Talk about getting antzy!! GOD I CAN’T WAIT!!

Don’t mean to hijack your thread, because I do see you are a Badger, but is that legal in MN with the “spring” law in regards to the hooks? I know WI is a little more liberal, but I would think in the state where nothing is allowed would nip this in the bud

I like the idea if it indeed works!

Dido on the silver and Gold minnows. My favorite is the Cabela’s firetiger spoon. 3/4 and 1 1/4 ounces. Leaving for North of Pickle Lake in 17 days, 23 and 3/4 hours.
    But who’s counting?????

Lets say you hook into a good pike, will the hook maintain its integrity??? I rather doubt it. Everybodys bent a hook while pulling it out of a pikes mouth, I would assume that would ruin the “switch”. Just a thought…

My first though also, then I realized you’re a cheesehead Might still be advisable to check the regs. in canada.
