I’ll give you two reasons to own an SUV. My wife and daughter. I think they are much safer in a “big” vehicle. She sits up in the air where she can see better. It’s all about the roominess and safety for my family. I personally can’t stand riding in a car anymore.

Ditto that comment Kooty. My wife drives a Durango, about 15 mpg, never pulled a thing, but has tow package. Alot of these comments, could be said for people with BIG BOATS too. Do you really need 200 horses, when 90 will get to the the spot in about the same time. (speed limit is 50 mph) If gas went up ast the same rate as inflation,no big deal. My problem is the hiking before a weekend and especially b4 a travel holiday. Scammers.

I feel safer in my SUV too but it is an illusion. The same thing that lets you see more makes it more likely to roll over and the weight of them are deadly in roll overs.

big G you so right on, look at last weekend everone is heading fishing. Suddenly there was a price jump to 2.95 now less than a week later it is 2.66 again & going down more in the metro. Watch right before the next big weekend it will jump another .20 or .30 cents.

What if, what if, what if. I never said you can’t get hurt in an SUV. However, I’ll take my chances in one over the new Yaris or any of the little “politically correct” cars on the market now. I pass cars on the interstate every day thinking how in the heck can that person feel safe. About like riding a motorcycle.

Image this a holiday weekend coming up & the gas prices mesteriously go up . On a wednesday 2 days before everyone is going to fill up for the holiday. But there is no price fixing going on .

Never saw it coming! From 2.55 yesterday, and now it looks like 2.89 will be the norm. And of course you can’t blame the oil companies for just trying to eke out a living…

Gas prices in the metro just happened to jump $.20 cents today. I wonder why?? Wouldn’t be a big weekend, would it??

I know. what a joke. It went up $.25 cents here from this morning. Supply and demand? How will gouging at the pump help with supply and demand over a three day period? These %*&$#$ should be burned at the stake.
