So, they intend to boycott until gas reaches $1.30/gallon? I am the KING of Boycotting and I can tell you that is gonna be one heck of a LONG boycott. It’s unrealistic to ever expect to see those prices again.

But, what I find even more interesting than talk of the boycott is WHY is that HOT young lady pumping her own gas? WOW!!!!

It is my belief that all boycotts do is hurt the boycotted station owner, not the oil companys. You would be killing the little guy and not even dinging the giants.

Opponents of the boycott that starts Monday note that oil and gas taxes fund much of Bee County’s budget, and they say a boycott could end up harming mom-and-pop gas stations whose main profits are not from oil.

I agree 100% luckydog…We a national solution via our leaders…period…thats who we put the pressure on!

Take notes from the “illegal aliens”…watch them get results fast(of course there is some big business behind them). Big Business is not hurting from gas prices…they pass the cost on to the little guys.

With all the grand standing going on at the capital, expect oil prices to drop. They won’t actually pass anything, which is probably good considering all the ideas I have heard are lame brain. But it will be enough for oil companies to throw us a bone. It’s too bad we don’t build a refinery, well actually started one about 7 years ago since that’s how long it takes to build one. We could then refine more oil than is demanded, thus dropping our prices.

I’ve stated it all over the web that when you factor in inflation, the price of gas is not that bad. However, once she starts climbing above $3, then we have a problem. The good thing is now car manufacturers have a market dictating that they build alternative fuel and hybrid cars. Also, depending on what happens with Iran, the prices should come down.

Studies have shown that Hybrid car cost on average $ 2,000.00 more for the option. If you add up how much gas is saved by the time the batteries need replaced and the cost of the batteries you save no money at all. That came from a report in Consumer Reports ( can’t remember what issue sorry ) Pulse rumor has it the Government wants to impose a tax on them because they would not get as much gas tax from them. SO here is to all the Big gas companys that set the price my own gas refinery
