Does anyone know of any fishing camps/training programs for teenagers in the midwest. I know a 17 year old who wants to spend time away from home this summer and is really interested in fishing. I think a summer-camp-like program would be good for him. Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks.
Minnesota use to have one called Camp Fish. Not sure what the status is today.
I am pretty sure Camp Fish was out a while back…early eighties I think they quit…

I’ve actually been running a small Fishing Camp totally focused on fishing for boys ages 10-17 in Northern Ontario every summer since 1982. We fish for big northern pike, walleye and also some jumbo perch and smallmouth. We’ve had campers from many parts of the U.S., Canada and other countries. Website is http://www.tascforteens.com .
Im his age and every summer me and 3 or 4 friends take a boat and a few tents up to a flowage in northern wi and camp/fish for a week. Its the best week of the year, and its only about $150 each between the 5 of us. PM me if youre curious about more info on everything we do/where we go.
