Not those who are members but those who lurk. I am calling you out. Its time to put down the coffee cup, quit hiding the screen in the background at work, and join! You know who you are. ESPECIALLY you Puddin. Don’t be afraid, But if your scared, then just say your scared.

But ALL of you lurkers need to quit sneaking around and “Man up”

fish; I found this site when it was fish the river. I registered and became a lurker. I thought I was becoming a member right away, but I’m just seen as a lurker. I ask how to become a member, was told I’ have to post to be a member. I have only 39 posts, maybe only started one topic, maybe more. Regardless of what some say about lurkers not joining because they want to just cause problems in forums, thats not my case, although I admit I have been misunderstood a few times while trying to get a point accross.
The reason I wanted to join was I have a place in Pepin,Wi. as an absentee home owner. When I get time to go there I like to check on the fishing. Also, sometimes I might have something to add. Like last year I told someone exactly where I was catching fish. Some people don’t like that but i wasn’t conserned.
Unfourtunatly for me, I was injured a few years back and had to sell my boat and towing vehicle to pay my bills on time. I don’t get to fish as much as I used to, and for now it’s almost all from shore. But I still catch fish, and sometimes they are big so its not that bad.
I see some people come right on as members but that didn’t happen to me. I guess I don’t talk enough or there is some other reason I’m only a lurker. If posting makes you a member I should already be one. I also can’t justify spending too much time here, as I am just starting to get the legal stuff put away, and am very busy with family. Maybe now I’ll have more time.
I rarely fish around where my main home is because I don’t enjoy the lake fishing around here with the constant crowds of water skiers, which do die off around sunset, but lately so do I. Till I get another boat that won’t change. But as far as I go, if what I’ve done doesn’t make me a member it’s fine. I get what I need being a lurker. It works for me. I’m not trying to be a smart allic about it because I don’t mind being on the edge of it. By the way this is the only web site I’m affiliated with at all, and seldom visit others. There is one in wi. that deals more with the places I used to spend more time fishing, but I hardly ever used it. Most of the fishing I have done in my life was northern Vilas co. Wi., but things change.
Now i’m going to bed, but I’ll try to check in tommorow. You can tell me how you became a member. Thanks-Cooker

Cooker, you are a memeber, your registered, and you at least have a few posts. I started this thread mostly to try and give a buddy of mine a hard time. He is not registered, and is here quite frequently. He knows who he is and so do a few other people here.
It was never my intention to whiz in your wheatees, nor anyone else who is actually registered regardless of the number of posts they have.
