Last night we got hammered with the biggest hail I’ve personally seen. Average size was golfball, with some up to baseball sized. By the time I could track down the camera and get a picture, they had melted some in the kitchen sink. The biggest one in this picture was originally slightly smaller than a baseball. I couldn’t believe how loud it was in the house as these things were bouncing off the roof and siding. Thankfully, I didn’t get any damage, but there were quite a few cars around that got windows blown out. Storm was moving at 60 mph, so it went through pretty quick.

    Great pic
Heard about the possibility of it happening here too (suburbs – Milwaukee area) but they didn’t fall where I was at….. was wondering what that would look like if it did…and now I can see it! almost live with how quick you posted that!

It would leave a definite dent in your head if you got caught outside when those things were falling from the sky.

You may not have visible damage but have the inspector out anyway for your roof. We had hail damage some windows in a previous house and when the insurance inspector came out he went up on the roof. There was no visible damage as in shingles blown off but he felt the hail had damaged the shingles to the extent that the company paid for an entire new shingle job.
