Hi all. I was looking to get a little info on the difference between carbed and efi 4 strokes. Not mechanically but as far as performance. Gas, power, noise, reliability. When did most manufacturers start using FI. Specifically Mercury. The reason I ask is because I am looking at a 2001 mercury 75 hp 4 stroke on ebay and was wondering if it is carbed or FI and if I should hold out for a EFI. Thanks. Mike.
