Can someone explain why my gsp post was dusted?

You didn’t receive a PM with an explanation as to why? Are you sure it wasn’t moved? I guess I can’t see as to why this would have been dusted
April 11, 2006 at 2:53 am #437496I dusted it. Looked to me like you are running a commercial breeding outfit. This would make it a commercial ad.
April 11, 2006 at 2:55 am #437499It was the wentsshorthairs@*****.com email address that threw up the red flag. If this is your first litter o’ GSP’s you have my apologies and I’d be happy to allow you to re-post. If you regularly breed litters for sale you would not be eligible to post your ad here as is stated in the classified forum rules.
April 11, 2006 at 2:56 am #437500james, i had the same qustion a few weeks ago when i sold some old worms, i went to check back after they sold but it told me i couldnt look at the post anymore, can you help me out?
-AaronApril 11, 2006 at 2:58 am #437501If you can’t find the post it is unlikely that I could find the post. Check back a couple of pages in the forum in which it was originally placed. If its not there it was likely deleted by the poster within the 24 hour allowable edit time period.
April 11, 2006 at 3:26 am #437506This is my first litter, I may breed her again in a couple years but by no means am I a “commercial outfit”. I’m a hunter that had his dog bred, no more, no less. I see other pups and dogs for sale in “hunting equipment”. Those threads are still there. [email protected] is mearly a email address, not an “http” internet site. It’s just a litter of pups and I happen to have a email address that’s “out of the norm”. I’m serious about my hunting dogs and take pride in them, thus…wentsshorthairs. I have read the rules on posting in the classifieds, I didn’t feel as if I was breaking the rules. Had I thought I was breaking or bending the rules I would have sent an email to make sure it was ok. I’m not here to take advantage of anyone.

April 11, 2006 at 3:48 am #437508My bad. We get so many blatant classified abuses that my trigger finger was a litle too quick.
Feel free to re-post the ad and know that you have my sincerest apologies.
April 11, 2006 at 3:56 am #437509I remember the post where you had the pics of them. Cute little pups They probably will sell pretty quick. I wish I could get a dog to play with
April 11, 2006 at 5:32 am #437528No problem, I just didn’t understand why. I can see how me email addy looks suspect though. Yes, there are a bunch of “new” members that have been abusing the classifieds. I did repost, thanks.
Watson, Yes, they are cute little buggers. I hope they sell quickly, I can’t be sitting home with pups on weekends. Opener is right around the corner, and I don’t want to miss out on any fishing!! Maybe I’ll just have to tell the woman she has to stay home…

April 11, 2006 at 1:12 pm #437548Rules are Rules, This deleted post was a mishap. The forums are FREE and most would like to keep them that way.
Other than the classified rules the rest of IDA is pretty easy going, you/we can post freely. Some threads have become heated and yet we can argue/disagree with others as long as there is NO name calling.Ron

Can’t post this Can’t post that, turning into the other walleye forums on the net.
Really? OK. The next time you want to use the classifieds I’ll charge you $30 to place the ad. Then we’re like the “other” walleye sites on the net.
All we’re trying to do is continue to offer for free a feature that ALL other sites charge to use. It gets harder and harder every day. Our mods are frustarted. Members take cheap shots like this one when we try to keep the classifieds system free of commercial posts.
The simplest thing for me to do would be to go to a system that charges a fee for every ad placed and then not care at all who posted what.
My life would be simpler. My mods would stops losing their hair. We certainly wouldn’t feel any less appreciated, that’s for sure.
PS – bowhuntr24 best of luck selling your snowmobile you have listed with us right now.
April 11, 2006 at 1:32 pm #437556Eric,
I hope you were kidding!
I don’t get out much…but where else can a person post for sale items…like a $25K boat for free?
Maybe I’m a little sensitive here…but I see the dedication (and time spent) the volunteers put into the classifieds to keep the “fly by nights” and “resellers” out of there.
With the few simple rules in the classified area, it’s one of the best deals on the net!
If your post was meant to be tongue in cheek…please disreguard the above post….
April 11, 2006 at 1:36 pm #437560I posted at the same time you did James.
PS Charging for ads has been on the table SOOO many times over the last year that I can’t count them all…
JAMES is the guy that keeps them free, contrary to what he’s been asked to do by a number of staff.
April 11, 2006 at 1:44 pm #437564I for one, appreciate all the time and work to make this the best site on the net!
Thank you
2Fishy4UPosts: 973April 11, 2006 at 1:57 pm #437566Being able to post, as long as the ad isn’t related to a business is great. Several months ago I decided I had too many antique and classic outboards. Although I had never before sold these motors, I cleared first because I had several. My point is, as long as a posting is not business related, all of us are free to sell through this board, at absolutely no cost. How can that not be a bargain.
bradgPosts: 507April 12, 2006 at 12:06 am #437618I think the rules are pretty darn simple here, and very simple to follow. Thanks James for keeping this site the way you do, it is pretty darn nice to know that all of the paying advertisers here are of the highest quality, I have no problem at all supporting, or trusting the supporters of IDA because of the quality of them all. And I Know James doesn’t just let anyone advertise here, only the best.
April 12, 2006 at 12:57 pm #437646I think that would be a good idea for you to charge $5 to place an add til it sells, nothing wrong with that, every other place in this world you usually have to pay to place an add if you want to sell something. Snowmobile sold already thanks bud
May 5, 2012 at 3:42 am #1065886I want pictures.

desperadoPosts: 3010May 5, 2012 at 2:49 pm #1065912James and BirdDog were able to iron this out quite amicably; like reasonable adults.
They got to an agreement quite quickly that they were both happy with and neither has a bruised ego.Appears to be concrete evidence that IDO is much better than most forum sites at handling posters’ concerns, misunderstandings, what-have-you.

May 5, 2012 at 9:28 pm #1065951I thought the site does charge a minimal fee for posting an ad however the fish-bucks program rewards those members that contribute frequently.
Even with the rare glich of a post getting zapped here and there for being in the gray area, still the best dam site on the net!May 5, 2012 at 11:12 pm #1065963Quote:

The original posting date of this thread was before IDO started charging for the classified ads.
This thread is over 6 years old
