    Tom,

Find an Agricultural Products Retailer near you, Tell them what you want to do and they will point you in the right direction, Ask about SHUTOUT, SPOTLIGHT, or a generic of similar formulation. Possibly MEC AMINE D, which is a verdicon product. Where do you live???

Check the Ortho products, they used to make a liquid to mix with water. It has to say for creeping charlie on the list of weeds it controls or it won’t work. The regular Weed B Gone type products will not kill charlie. I could use another bottle my self for this year.

The product you want is Trimec. I get it at Fleet Farm. Give Chalie a dose and then a week or so later hit it again. It may take a couple three shots to wipe it out.

You get a lot more for your money buying industrial strength stuff. The ortho type products do work well, but you get mor bang for your buck from an ag products supplier. The herbicide you select for ground ivy (creeping Charlie)will also control many other lawn weeds, like dandilions But also, keeping a well seeded lawn and fertilized will also help to choke out weed and keep a nice healthy looking lawn, be careful not to over-fertilize though as this will burn it badly and possibly kill lots of grass. creeping charlie thrives more on thin or shaded or both areas of the lawn, but can also move to sunnier areas. With any herbicide application, the key is proper application procedure, and proper application time, The charlie should be starting to bloom soon and that is one of the best times to get rid of it.

    Weed B Gone MAX

Two applications and you’ll never see it again.

I spray lawns commercially. I use Speedzone or Surge, both PBI Gordon products. I agree with the 2-3 shots of chem to get a good kill though. If you have to use trimec, try to get trimec 992, I dont have the greatest luck with trimec products, so I opted for something stronger, but if you can spray it 3x, trimec should work. I just cant charge for 3 sprayings within 2-3 weeks, so I use something higher power.
