Tainter Lake near Menomonie

    I am heading to Tainter for the fishing opener.I have never fished the resivoir before.I want to target bass.Anyone have any ideas that could point me in the right direction? Also anyone have any thoughts on affordable hotels or campgrounds near the lake? Thanks in advance for your help.

    I would target the shallow areas near the inlets of the Hay and Red Cedar rivers on the upper lake. Next I would work the shoreline of the channel down to the lower lake.
    For camping check out Twin Springs Campground, just a few miles from tainter. 715-235-9321
