    I have a 9.5 horsepower johnson outboard and wondering if anyone can help me with the year? It is model # 9R-72M SERIAL # j3582410. I would guess it is a 1972 but that seems way simple. I know that omc uses the INTODUCES code but that doesnt seem to apply. Any help would be appreciated, thanks brian a.
