Just finished emptying out the $30,000 fish house hauler (F-150 per Mike W.) and found some interesting things. The back end of the truck doesn’t get cleaned from the time we go to Canada fishing in Sept till the end of ice fishing so there are always mystery things in there. Today’s find (other than the usual fish houses, poles, augers, heaters, etc.) included:
A shriveled up potato (possibly from Canada)
Pheasant feathers
Deer hair
A pretty rock found in the ground blind
Freeze dried minnows and lutey bait
Straightened out 1/8 oz. jig
Empty DNA collector
Numerouse empty and crushed beverage cans
Onion skins and pepper peels
Cooking grease on the end gate
Wet roll of t.p.
Battery tester for the FL-8
Pout slime
Broken screen on the topper window
Empty pint of root beer schnapps (Brian?)
Couple hunks of charcoal
Dirt from Canada, Western Minn, Northern Minn, Washington Co. etc.
and the grandson’s little football
Ah, what treasures one can find in a truck that has not been cleaned out for 6 months. Each with their own story. As sad as it is, another cool weather season has passed and now into the hot summer months. Oh well, Sept is only 6 months away.
