March 23 will be 1 year since my future brother inlaw was killed in Iraq. Corporal Travis Bruce He was born and raised here in Rochester. I cant say thank you enough for what he and all of our troops are fighting for!! It has been a very long year for the family.

I didn’t get to know him enough. He was a fisherman. That is all that we talked about. The last time I spoke with him he was in Iraq. We were trying to plan our first fishing trip!! He was so exited to make it home and go fishing. I think of him every time I am on the water.

    Thank you for listening.

Thank you Corporal Travis Bruce and thank you troops!!!

Do what you can for our hero’s!!!!

    Thank you!!

I think Gen George S. Patton put it very thought provoking. He said something like, “We shouldn’t be morning these men but rather we should be thanking God that such men existed.” I really think that is the ultimate tribute. God Bless Travis and his family.

The most fitting thing this retired Navy Chief knows how to do is just stand proudly and salute.

(Sure wish we could get a emoticon for saluting the flag)

    Rest easy my brother…

Jig Head- 1 year is a sad anniversary. I lost a friend 2 years ago and can speak from experience that the 1 year anniversary is the worst. Thanks to your brother in law for keeping all of us safe and free.
