I have been searching the web for some swim jig molds in the 7/8 to 2oz range and can’t come up with anything. Would anyone out there have a idea where I might find one or have one made. I have found all the supplies i need but just can’t find the mold. Thanks for the help.

lol i have never seen a 2 ounce swim jig, but i suppose it would be great in deep water for suspended bass…Did you see del-mart.com?

*ah never mind thats just plastics…I saw a website that is jigs too though.

The bullet head swims as good as any other I have thrown. Reduce your skirt strands and use a standard hook other than the wide gap and they run very true. The eagle claw l221 is a cheap strong hook but seems to rust quickly in the box. Spend the few extra bucks on a mustad and your on your way. You can make the bullets up to 7/8 and as low as 1/4

OK guys, look, some good information here! In-Shore Tackle in NY. makes custom Silicone molds. They are good for 1000-4000 pours. Only drawback is you need a sample for him to copy. The cost is 35 bucks plus 4 bucks shipping. You might have to modify when it gets back too (different hook or weedguard). Or, you can make your own! PolyTek makes Silicone to make molds (use the one for low-melt metals) I think the trial jug is like $125.00 and I got 6 molds out of it and have enough to make 2 or 3 more. Please do not go anywhere looking for better solutions, I lready spent 4 months of my life looking for the same thing (custom mold- not a 2 oz jig!) Wow, quality info on this site! better headline this one!

ZX202… does this have to be a lead sample or can it be some other material? I guess what I’m saying is can it be a machined or hand carved piece of plastic, wood, etc…

maybe a little heavy duty slop fishing with them too?? to get it below the mats or something? then you need like 500 pound test to rip it through! who knows? All i know is that fishing a 2 ounce swim jig seems almost as rediculous as handlining a 1 pound weight with a stick bait for walleyes…but they catch fish with it!

BomerA knows his stuff I have found one place that makes the jigs but would like to do it myself, since they only offer about 6 different jigs and they go for 9 bucks a pop. A jig is fairly cheap and if I make a couple dozen the jig will pay for itself. Thanks for the info guys, keep it coming if you have any more.
